I grew up in a small conservative town in Texas and spent over 10 years as an academic scientist in San Francisco before moving to Asia. Somehow, I always wanted to study bonding – whether on the microscopic level as a chemist or on the sex, love, and relationship level between humans. I like to say I went from chemistry to alchemy.

 

I always felt that the Tantriks were the scientists and psychologists of their time, before those disciplines, or even those words, existed. Taking up this practice gives me the tools and motivation to look deeply into myself and how I move through the world. Ultimately, these sorts of experiments have been much more rewarding for me.
